Nikolaus Harnoncourt receives honorary doctorate of the University of Music and Dance Köln.
On 10 June 2011 the University of Music and Dance gives for the first time in its long history, an honorary doctorate to an outstanding artistic person.
The Honorary Doctorate is subject to outstanding scientific achievements or outstanding artistic achievements in music.
